Jeremy Pelegrin is a professional actor, singer, writer, and musician living in Green Bay, WI. Jeremy has earned a Theatre Degree from the University of WI, Stevens Point, with a double major in Theatre Arts and English Literature. Jeremy began his performing career at Six Flags Great American and Valley Fair theme parks during college. After graduation, he continued to pay his dues, by performing 5 or more shows a day at East Coast theme parks, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Paramount’s Kings Dominion. Out east, Jeremy toured with Children’s Theater company, Theatre IV, performing We the People at elementary schools across 6 states.
Along with his undergraduate theatre degree, Jeremy earned UWSP’s Chancellor’s Leadership Award. Jeremy has been a member of AIDS Foundation of America’s AmeriCorps Team and a member of Actors Equity Association. Jeremy has studied at Walt Disney World’s Disney University and is a graduate of Disney’s Crossroads to Leadership Program.
While living in Florida, Jeremy continued performing full-time at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, as well as at several FL dinner theaters in Orlando and Sarasota. Indeed, some of his favorite theatre roles were in Florida, including You’re a Good Man…(Charlie Brown), They’re Playing Our Song (Vernon), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Quasimodo), and Tony and Tina’s Wedding (Tony). Finally, Jeremy spent a year traveling from Florida to Maine on a National tour of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Mr. Bratt).
Some of Jeremy’s most treasured theatre roles have been in the last 10 years: Something Rotten (Shylock), Arsenic & Old Lace (Einstein), Death of a Salesman (Willy Loman), Little Shop of Horrors (Voice of Audrey II), David Mamet’s November (Charles), Do Black Patent Leather Shoes…(Fr. O’Reilly) SPAMALOT (Sir Galahad), Fantastiks (Bellomy), Miracle Worker (Keller), Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch), and the title role of Lombardi.
Jeremy’s recent local commercial appearances have included a Fleet Farm print advertisement, the Northeastern WI Technical College’s Drunken History television commercial series, and the North Star Mohican Casino promotion where he embodied the character of “Winning” on television and on billboards around the state of WI. Also, while back in the Northeastern WI area, Jeremy has enjoyed working with several other local production companies, including Daddy D’s, Calvary Players, Birder Players, and the Forst Inn. With Evergreen Productions, Jeremy continues his work as a Musical Director and Production Coordinator, directing The Sound of Music last winter.
He is now eager to continue working with young actors as they learn more about theatre and about themselves. He would like young actors to learn from his worst mistakes, half-jokingly aspiring to be less of a role model and more of a cautionary tale of how to make a living as a working actor. Jeremy has partnered with Green Bay’s Studio 12, teaching private acting lessons and improvisation classes. More recently, Jeremy has served as guest instructor at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, leading an Annie intensive “Rising Stars” summer camp.
